Our journey began in high school, where Dave first discovered his love for the craft. Over the years, that passion evolved into a deep appreciation for the subtle imperfections and organic beauty that only film can deliver. Moving to Southern Arizona in 2015 brought fresh inspiration—desert vistas, captivating light, and a thriving artistic community that became the backdrop for our photography.
What sets Sand and Silver apart is our commitment to authenticity. We use medium and large-format cameras, developing film by hand with unique chemistry and filters to bring out the colors and textures we envision—without any digital manipulation.
